M-Arc Heritage has been set up to provide a heritage consultancy driven by the core values of focus on our clients and care for the historic environment. We offer a personal and independent heritage service of high quality with a national focus, but based in the South West of England.
M-Arc was founded by the Director, Mark Grahame. Mark holds a BA(Hons) degree and PhD in Archaeology. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (MCIfA). Mark has acted as lead consultant on numerous heritage projects across the UK, working in a variety of sectors, including renewable energy, housing development schemes, the regeneration of industrial and commercial sites, housing allocation schemes for local authorities and the conversion and conservation of Listed Buildings.
Mark has undertaken projects in highly sensitive areas, including World Heritages Sites, Conservation Areas, the settings of Registered Parks and Gardens and Listed Buildings. Mark has routinely undertaken due diligence assessments, scoping studies, historic environment desk-based assessments, setting appraisals and heritage chapters for Environmental Impact Assessments. He has designed mitigation strategies in relation to archaeology and built heritage as well as coordinating and managing fieldwork projects on behalf of clients.
