Dodgy Haulier

My experience of D. Smith Transport (Dorking) was not a great one and the only reason I have not promoted a litigious position is because he was sub-contracted by my regular haulier who wishes to maintain his reputation. In a nutshell I was hoodwinked by Dereck over the price quoted to take two days. The scope of work was subsequently reduced and completed in one extended hours day. I suspect the reason that he had quoted two days was due to the fact that he persistently talks about the `good old days` and could quite frankly talk a glass eye to sleep and the fact he is well past retirement age which understandably affects motivation and productivity. I am just glad that the job has been completed, that said would advise potential customers with a tight budget as you will be subject to the old blarney "it`s a big job guv`nor" and always get two quotes.
