Holmes Carpets is a family run independent flooring company established in 1972. The company has been brought to the North West and expanded by the the 3rd generation in the family business Steven Holmes in 2017 and has since expanded to become one of the largest flooring suppliers in the Manchester and the surrounding areas.

Laminate Flooring
I wanted the whole of the downstairs of my house covering with laminate flooring and contacted Holmes Carpets for advice. The initial visit by Gary to discuss and see samples was really helpful for me to choose the right flooring and the price was very reasonable. The fitters (Stuart and sorry not sure of the 2nd name) were so pleasant so helpful - they worked around furniture so it didn't have to go outside in the rain (the first day of rain for months!) - they swept up as they went along and the finished flooring is absolutely lovely.
I am very impressed with Holmes Carpets from start to finish.

Full house in carpet and vinyl
I'm renovating a house for rental and needing the whole thing carpeting (3 beds, H/S/L, lounge x2). Steven was fab. Cost more than the price quoted on the website, but this was because the house is larger than the 70sqm the offer is based on. Was still really happy with the higher price, grippers and door bars were free. Decided to stick with the underlay we had, but Steven was still happy to patch some dodgy bits for me. He also came all the way to the Wirral for the job from Stockport, which was great because no local companies could touch him for price. Will definitely use him again!

Laminate throughout apartment
We are so happy with Holmes Carpets. From start to end, they have done a great job. We are so pleased with the result. Steven have listened to our needs and carefully offered us the best options that suits our project. He also arranged for the whole work to be done in one day (a Saturday!). The floor fitters, Stuart & Garry were very professional and hard working. They know their work to perfection and we can't thank you enough for the amazing job. Amazing company
Really pleased with the entire job. It was done within 2 weeks of the first consultation and that was only because the fitter was on holiday for the first week. Fitter was great to get on with and gave good advice. My only gripe was that some of the doors and under cabinet panels were removed and not refitted as they weren't sanded down - but I didn't explicitly specify that I wanted that done so no fault on Holmes' end. There wasn't any hoovering done after so there were small bits of carpet everywhere. Not really an issue for me as I haven't moved in yet and will be doing a full clean when I do, but it's something to bear in mind for others.
Overall a really great experience. The initial consultation was great, (guy even came out when he was ill, dedication!) and he was really knowledgeable and gave good advice. Fitter was great and has done a really nice job. Price was cheaper than our other quotes and the house looks great, we got exactly what we wanted. 🙂
Very happy
Holmes carpet are very easy to deal with and very helpful at the time of purchase without being over sales oriented. They take their time showing products and offer good advice. We came away with sufficient samples to enable us to choose at home in the right environment. Delivery time was good considering it crossed the Easter weekend and the promised start date was kept to. The carpet was fitted by Tom who did a nice job with the whole area tidy on completion. I would use Holmes carpets again and wish them every success as they develop and expand their business.
