Welcome to Tinpickle & Rhum.
Join us for fabulous food and drinks by the roaring log burner or out on our 11 acres of sunny gardens at the Tinpickle & Rhum in Haytor, the heart of Dartmoor, yet only a 15 minute drive away from Newton Abbot. Feel free to come in at your leisure or call ahead.
Dogs and muddy boots are very welcome.

Enjoy great food and drinks in the company of friends and family surrounded by beautiful Dartmoor. We provide our guests with local, fresh, British food alongside gastropub favourites and a classic Sunday Roast with all the trimmings.
We believe great food is about simplicity, showcasing seasonal produce complimented by fabulous local ale, quality wines, freshly brewed coffee and a welcoming atmosphere.
Our main menu served all day is offered alongside a fabulous selection of specials which change daily.

The possibilities are endless on Dartmoor, there is so much to discover including fascinating history, ancient legends, interesting geology and wonderfully diverse wildlife, fauna and flora. Dartmoor Ponies are an iconic sight living as semi-wild herds all over the moor. You can effortlessly find safe, quiet areas where you can enjoy a picnic, easy to follow trails for strolling, walking and cycling and a huge number of dog friendly places and attractions to visit. If you are feeling even more adventurous, there is Kayaking, Bouldering, Climbing, Wild Running and Wild Swimming, all set in surroundings that will take your breath away.

Nestled in the beautiful Dartmoor countryside, yet close to Newton Abbot and Bovey Tracey, the Tinpickle and Rhum provides a charming setting for any special occasion from a gathering of friends and family on our renowned school bench table with authentic gas taps and graffiti, to a magical wedding or any other celebration in our fabulous function room which is currently being renovated.

Called in on a very busy Sunday , just after lunch. 7 of us with muddy boots and the dog. Only wanted a drink but made Very Very welcome. Looks like lots of improvements going on and the room we sat in had lovely comfy sofas and chairs. Cant wait to go back in the summer and sit in that lovely garden for some food.

Stoped off on the way back from walking up haytor rock .we had cream tea and scones .friendly staff I asked if I could swop my tea for coffee and it was no problem at all .the scones we're the best I've ever tasted still nice and warm .would definatly visit again.

Had a lovely meal there this evening. So great to be able to take the dog! The staff were really lovely and friendly! Had the mussel starter and have to say they are the nicest mussels I have ever had!!! The steak was lovely and cooked perfectly! Recommended by a friend and will definitely come again!
